MITTON HALL WEDDING
Kelly and Tom tied the knot on Saturday 2nd June at The Willows Church and then on to Mitton Hall for a huge party with all their family and friends. It was a cracking day from start to finish, with awesome vintage VW cars through to a smooth Saxophonist playing on the terrace outside in the evening.
Kelly & Tom sum up there wedding here ….
An unforgettable day. Better than we could have imagined. A real family event…all family and friends from both sides together. But most of all it felt personal.
How did he pop the question// In Edinburgh (our favourite city) on Saturday 9 th January 2016, it was just perfect.
The Vision// We wanted a classic wedding with friends and family at the centre. We are both extremely close to our families so we wanted a big celebration with them all. We chose black tie for the boys. Black and white stationary and lots of fresh greenery. We just wanted a day where everyone felt happy, relaxed and in the party mood!
Threads & Accessories //Justin Alexander dress with a customised beaded back, bought from Lulu Browns in Whalley
Tom bought suits from Whitfield and Ward, he spent a while finding the perfect suit, and he looked so handsome when I saw him at the bottom of the aisle.
The Bridesmaids // all Bridesmaids dresses were purchased online from ASOS, we preferred the high street dresses as they had more choice and colour.
Black and white stationary and lots of fresh greenery – Mitton Hall was the perfect backdrop for Kelly & Tom’s vision
Any advice for couples planning their wedding?
Take a step back and enjoy the day…we nipped up to the room about 6pm which looked out over the terrace to see all the guests drinking and dancing to the saxophonist…that was one of the best memories!
Do your speeches before the meal.
Don’t drink shots till after the meal!!!! haha
Best Bits // First dance…Alex Birtwell’s own cover version of ‘Everlasting
love’. Our midnight feast…served at 1.30am for all guests staying over…everyone sat
around drinking and eating till early into the morning. The bridesmaids and
groomsmen walking into the wedding breakfast.
